What Is Guesty — and Why the Integration Matters
Guesty is one of the most widely used property management systems (PMS) for professional short-term rental operators. It centralizes reservations from Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Expedia, and direct booking channels into a single dashboard — giving property managers one place to manage all bookings, guest communication, pricing, and operations across multiple properties.
For Hello Guest Screen, the Guesty integration is more powerful than a simple Airbnb iCal sync because it works across all booking channels simultaneously. If a guest books through VRBO, that reservation flows through Guesty and automatically updates the Hello Guest Screen TV display at your property — without connecting separate calendars for each platform. One Guesty connection covers every channel you list on.
🏢 Who This Integration Is For
The Guesty integration is ideal for professional property managers and hosts who manage 2 or more properties and list on multiple booking platforms.
If you manage a single Airbnb-only listing, the Airbnb iCal integration is simpler. If you manage multiple properties across Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, and direct bookings — the Guesty integration is the right choice.
What Guesty Syncs to Your Hello Guest Screen TV Display
Once connected, the following guest and reservation data flows automatically from Guesty to your Hello Guest Screen TV display for every booking.
| What Syncs from Guesty | How It Appears on the TV Screen |
|---|---|
| Guest First Name | Displayed as a personalized greeting: Welcome, Michael! — pulled from the Guesty reservation guest record |
| Check-In Date and Time | Screen activates automatically based on the Guesty check-in timestamp for that reservation |
| Check-Out Date and Time | Displayed prominently on the TV every time it is turned on throughout the stay — reduces late check-outs |
| Property Name | Your Guesty listing name appears on the welcome screen — confirms the guest is at the correct property |
| Booking Source | Reservation source (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Direct) — can be shown or hidden based on your settings |
| Multi-Unit Support | For properties with multiple units in Guesty, each unit gets its own Hello Guest Screen display with unit-specific guest data |
| Automatic Screen Reset | Screen clears the outgoing guest data and prepares for the next Guesty reservation after check-out time |
How to Connect Hello Guest Screen to Your Guesty Account
The Guesty integration is available directly through the Guesty Marketplace. Setup takes under 10 minutes.
Step 1
Find Hello Guest Screen in the Guesty Marketplace
Log in to your Guesty account. Navigate to the Marketplace or App Store section (found in the left sidebar under Integrations or Partner Apps). Search for Hello Guest Screen and select the app listing.
Step 2
Connect Hello Guest Screen from the Guesty Marketplace
On the Hello Guest Screen app page in the Guesty Marketplace, click Connect or Install. You will be prompted to authorize the connection between your Guesty account and Hello Guest Screen. Click Authorize to grant access.
Step 3
Sign In to or Create Your Hello Guest Screen Account
After authorizing from Guesty, you will be redirected to the Hello Guest Screen login page. Sign in with your existing Hello Guest Screen account or create a new account. If you are new to Hello Guest Screen, your 14-day free trial starts here — no credit card required.
Step 4
Map Your Guesty Properties to Hello Guest Screen Screens
In your Hello Guest Screen dashboard, go to Properties and select the Guesty integration. Each Guesty property listing will appear. Assign each property to a Hello Guest Screen screen. If you manage 5 properties in Guesty, you will set up 5 screens in Hello Guest Screen — one per property.
Step 5
Customize Each Property Welcome Screen
For each property, set the WiFi name and password, check-out time, logo or host photo, personalized welcome message, background image, and QR code. These settings stay fixed per property. The guest name, check-in date, and check-out date update automatically from Guesty for every new reservation.
Step 6
Verify the Sync Is Working
In your Hello Guest Screen dashboard, check the property preview for any property with an upcoming or active Guesty reservation. The guest name and dates should already be populated. If not, check the Guesty integration settings and confirm the authorization was completed correctly.
🏪 Official Guesty Marketplace Listing
Because Hello Guest Screen is listed in the Guesty Marketplace, the connection is maintained and updated by both teams. When Guesty updates their API or integration standards, Hello Guest Screen updates the integration accordingly. You do not need to manually maintain or refresh the connection.
Why the Guesty Integration Is More Powerful Than a Direct iCal Connection
Many property managers connect Hello Guest Screen via individual iCal links from each booking platform. The Guesty integration is superior for multi-property operators for three key reasons.
| Individual iCal Connections | Guesty Integration |
|---|---|
| Separate iCal link needed per platform per property | One Guesty connection covers all platforms and all properties |
| Must reconnect if Airbnb or VRBO changes their iCal format | Guesty handles all platform updates on their side |
| Only syncs data that Airbnb or VRBO includes in iCal export | Guesty passes richer guest and reservation data |
| Manual setup required for each new listing | New Guesty properties appear automatically in HGS |
| No multi-unit support in a single connection | Supports multi-unit properties and room-level reservations |
| Guest names may be missing on some iCal exports | Guesty always includes guest names in reservation data |
What Your Guests See on the TV — Powered by Guesty Data
When a guest checks in to any of your Guesty-managed properties and turns on the TV, Hello Guest Screen displays a fully personalized welcome board — with data pulled directly from that Guesty reservation. The guest name and check-out date come automatically from Guesty. WiFi, background, message, and QR code are set once per property and apply to every booking.

🔗
One Connection, All Channels
A single Guesty connection replaces separate iCal links for Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Expedia, and direct bookings. Every reservation from every channel flows through Guesty and updates the correct property screen automatically.
👥
Guest Name Always Included
Unlike iCal exports which sometimes omit guest names, the Guesty API always includes complete guest records. The guest first name appears on your TV screen for every single reservation — no exceptions.
🏢
Multi-Unit Property Support
Manage an apartment building or multi-unit complex through Guesty? Each unit gets its own Hello Guest Screen display showing the guest data for that specific unit — all synced through the same Guesty connection.
⚡
New Properties Auto-Appear
When you add a new property to Guesty, it appears automatically in your Hello Guest Screen dashboard. No manual setup required for each new listing — your portfolio grows and Hello Guest Screen keeps pace.
🔄
Cancellations Sync Too
If a reservation is cancelled in Guesty, the cancellation syncs to Hello Guest Screen automatically. The TV display reverts to a neutral property screen or jumps to the next upcoming reservation — no manual clearing needed.
🔒
Secure OAuth Connection
Hello Guest Screen connects to Guesty through the official Guesty API using OAuth authorization. Only reservation data (guest names and dates) is read — no payment info, no financial records, no guest contact details.
📍
QR Code to Property Guides
Link your QR code to any URL — property-specific house rules, a digital guidebook, local restaurant recommendations, checkout checklists, or a direct booking discount page. Guests scan it from the TV on arrival.
🏡
Remote Property Management Ready
Hello Guest Screen was built for remote property managers. Connect Guesty once, set up each property screen once, and the system runs itself. Guest names and dates update automatically. You manage everything from one Hello Guest Screen dashboard without visiting the properties.
Compatible Devices — Guesty Integration Works on All
The Guesty sync works identically across all Hello Guest Screen supported TV devices. Use whichever device your properties already have.

Frequently Asked Questions — Guesty Integration
Answers to the most common questions from Guesty property managers about connecting Hello Guest Screen.
Hello Guest Screen is listed in the Guesty Marketplace as an official partner integration. You connect the two platforms directly from the Guesty Marketplace — find Hello Guest Screen, click Connect, and authorize the integration. Once authorized, your Guesty reservation data including guest names, check-in dates, and check-out times syncs automatically to your Hello Guest Screen TV displays across all your properties.
Yes. This is one of the main advantages of the Guesty integration over a direct iCal connection. Because Guesty aggregates bookings from all your channels into one dashboard, the Hello Guest Screen integration sees all those reservations through a single connection. A booking from VRBO, Booking.com, or a direct booking website all flows through Guesty and automatically updates the correct property’s Hello Guest Screen TV display.
Yes. If you manage multi-unit properties in Guesty — such as an apartment building with individual units — Hello Guest Screen supports this setup. Each unit can have its own TV screen with its own Hello Guest Screen display, each showing the guest data for the reservation in that specific unit. All units are managed from a single Hello Guest Screen account and all update automatically via the Guesty integration.
Yes. Unlike direct iCal connections which sometimes omit guest names depending on the platform’s export format, the Guesty integration always includes guest names in the reservation data. Guesty maintains complete guest records including first and last names, and Hello Guest Screen pulls the guest first name from those records for every reservation.
There is no limit on the number of Guesty properties you can connect to Hello Guest Screen. Each property in your Guesty account can have its own Hello Guest Screen TV display. Each screen is billed at 4.99 per month. Property managers with 5 or more screens qualify for volume pricing — contact the Hello Guest Screen team at helloguestscreen.com for a custom quote.
If a reservation is cancelled in Guesty, the cancellation syncs to Hello Guest Screen automatically. The TV display for that property will revert to showing either a neutral property screen or the next upcoming reservation’s guest data, depending on your settings. You do not need to manually clear a cancelled guest’s name from the screen.
If you manage only one or two Airbnb-only listings, the Airbnb iCal connection works well and there is no need to switch. If you manage multiple properties or list on multiple booking platforms (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, direct), switching to the Guesty integration gives you one centralized connection that covers all properties and all channels — which is simpler to manage and more reliable for ensuring the correct guest data always appears on the correct TV.
Yes. Hello Guest Screen connects to Guesty through the official Guesty API using OAuth authorization — the same secure standard used by all Guesty Marketplace partners. Hello Guest Screen only reads reservation data (guest names and dates) — it does not access payment information, guest contact details, financial records, or any Guesty account settings. The connection can be revoked at any time from within your Guesty account under Connected Apps.
